Andrew was really as friendly of a host as anyone could ask for. Super-accommodating and kind, with extra touches to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The area is lovely and the house, gazebo and guest place is very pretty and peaceful from the outside. Thanks for welcoming us to enjoy the gazebo also, Andrew! Beacon as a city is absolutely great and we had a blast, between exploring Main Street, eating, drinking, and local hikes (do Breakneck Ridge!). I think the actual Base Camp apartment is just fine, with some pros and cons. There is a couch downstairs and a bed upstairs and sufficient furniture and accommodations – and again some very nice touches by Andrew to make you feel welcome. I would just say that folks should come prepared for a bit more rustic kind of experience. Everything is just fine and some aspects very lovely, just not modern or fancy, and bed and couch not overly comfortable. But, like I said, all’s just fine! For me, when I combine a great host, a great area, some extra touches, and a satisfactory sleep arrangement (just not amazing), I am still very satisfied. And, extremely appreciative towards Andrew for being such a wonderful host and helping us have an excellent stay in Beacon!
